About the Major

A all South African heavy duty workhorse that brings military precision to the job of repairing bad roads and building new ones from bare veld. This is the genius of the ‘Little Major’ which incorporates many new operational features—like

  1. Unrivalled blade tilting ability and
  2. Height adjustable hitch mechanism
  3. Our unique blade pitch attitude control,
  4. All enclosed hydraulic piping
  5. All welded hydraulic cylinders with Italian seals and piston
  6. Standing deck

These features are unique to RoadKing Graders and a first in agricultural graders in South Africa.

In its weight class, the Major is like an army on its own and rates as the most cost effective, toughest and efficient, trailed graders in existence today.

Recommended for use with a tractor with a power rating of not les than 55

MAINFRAME CONSTRUCTION: Boxed beam arched over blade to control platform

BLADE: Rolled 16 mm hard steel plate with ballast box and 2 x 1500mm x 200 mm x 20 mm high carbon steel reversible cutting edges.

CONTROLS:

  • On board remote controlled via direct connection to tow tractor’s hydraulic system.
  • Full hydraulic control of blade lift, and angle and mechanical blade rotation via cab mounted spool valve controller
  • Mechanical control of variable blade pitch angle

 

OPERATOR STATION: Fabricated steel platform with tread plate foot platform and sprung ergonomic adjustable seat with restraints.

HITCH: 55 mm or 32 mm Din-Eye hitch ring in height adjustable nest

FINISH: All steel chemically cleaned and painted two coats Anti corrosion Valspar epoxy primer and two coats Valspar Epoxy colour coat
